The Giving Tree

For today on the A to Z Challenge, I'm doing it on The Giving Tree.

I am also participating in the 2015 Reading Challenge by Popsugar. Basically it challenges you to read 52 books (technically 50, but you have to read a trilogy) this year using a list of different topics/themes.

Reading Challenge Theme/Topic: a book from your childhood

As a child, I loved to read and still do. So when I saw that I had to read a book from my childhood, I got excited. It took me some time to think about what book I wanted to read all over again when I came across "The Giving Tree". It was definitely one of my favorite books when I was younger. Now that I have a nephew, I plan to get the book for him when he gets a little older (he's just about 8 months) and hope he enjoys it like I did.

Synopsis: A boy and a tree. Every day the boy would come to the tree to eat her apples, swing from her branches, or slide down her trunk...and the tree was happy. But as the boy grew older he began to want more from the tree, and the tree basically gave him everything she had.

Happy Reading and Keep on Writing!

    1. Thanks Devika for stopping by. It is indeed a great book for children. The copy I have is actually my brother's and it got passed on to me, so I plan on giving it back for my nephew.
